Cucumbers

The market on cucumbers is Steady. With decent volume coming out of Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Canada. Mexico also has some product crossing but is hit or miss on the quality.

Lemons

District 2 in California is in full swing now and amply volume should last through September. Smaller lemons 165s and up, continue to be tight as the heat has pushed the fruit toward larger sizing. Both Mexico and imports from South America are pulling strong numbers.

Lettuce

Iceberg supply and quality remain a concern with disease pressure affecting yield. Quality issues like tip and fringe burn continue to be monitored and removed during harvesting. The market is fluctuating depending on the day, but overall remains elevated.   

Peppers

The green bell pepper market is low. Full production out of the mid-west is keeping the market down. All Growing regions has good volume and good quality (California, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Canada)

Potatoes

The market has tightened up as we near the end of the season for storage potatoes. Sheds are working to clear out space for the new harvest that are now rolling in.

Tomatoes

The tomato market is tight across rounds, romas and Grapes. The market increased this week and looks to increase next week with the limited volume out of the east coast due to rain. Mexico is not crossing a lot of product this time of year. California is still producing but nearing towards the end of the season and not producing enough to fill the shorts out of the east.
