The cucumber market is elevated. South Florida is slowing down on volume and will be completely done by the end of the month. Mexico is producing steady volume but had some rain and cooler weather. This paired with a stronger holiday pull has the market tighter with increased pricing.

Overall supply is improving, partly due to lower demand and partly due to increasing yields. Quality is improving, but there are still defects being sorted out at the field level. Markets continue to soften on ice berg, romaine, and green leaf. The green onion market is very tight currently.

The Round Tomato market is backing off some this week with demand remaining steady but more volume in the market. Florida has full production with great quality. Mexico has been crossing decent volume that will remain steady. The Roma market seems to have more traction as there is good demand but not as much volume as the rounds. Florida has good volume, but Mexico is lighter on the Romas until mid-January keeping the price elevated.
