No supply issues on main lettuce crops. Quality is fair-to-good; recent weather has caused some defects that are being sorted out at the time of cutting. Forecast in the desert look promising and most markets seem to have stabilized. Quality and weight should improve throughout January as long as the weather cooperates.

Rounds and Romas out of Florida this week are up a dollar, with an increase in demand and less product available. Colder temperatures and rainy weather at the end of last week along with having only three shippers producing has contributed to less overall volume. Mexico volume is steady. Could see a little dip in the next week during the transition to Culiacan, but once they are producing there will be plenty of product out of Mexico with good quality.
