Georgia is winding down will less production and also getting cooler temperatures that are contributing to the light volume. Florida is producing but just has ok volume. Mexico hasn’t had a lot of product crossing, but will be ramping up in the next 2-3 weeks.

Markets continue to rise with extremely light supply on mostly all commodities. Quality is poor-to-ok, and yields are down across the board. Packers and processors are being as selective as possible, but shorter shelf life, prorates, and supply gaps are real challenges the supply chain is currently facing. The move to Yuma is less than 3 weeks away, but relief is not expected to come immediately upon transition due to monsoon rains in the desert.

Onion pricing remains very low out West, but freight is slowly starting to have some impact on the overall price. Freight is expected to continue to remain very tight out of the Pacific Northwest areas.

The pepper market remains steady. Georgia is still producing decent numbers but will be slowing down in the next 2.3 weeks. Central Florida volume is starting to ramp up, and South Florida will be starting in the next couple of weeks. Mexico crossing light volume will ramp up in the next few weeks.

Potato pricing remains extremely low, potentially the lowest in several years. The only driving factor out of the Idaho region is escalating freight rates that are not expected to fall until well into the New Year.

The tomato market is backing off some this week with demand remaining steady but more volume in the market. Florida has great production and will see volume ramp up in the next couple of weeks. Florida growers are also reporting great quality out of the new crop. Mexico has been crossing decent volume.
