Overview & Projections

Labor Day is approaching, and significant shifts in freight patterns could impact your supply chain. Reefer shipments are on the rise, pushing tender rejections to 14%, with expectations that this number will climb further this week.

The Pacific Northwest is driving market movement, leading to capacity constraints in California, Montana, Northern Nevada, and Utah. Long-haul shipments are down 28% year-over-year, while short hauls are up 3% as drivers increasingly prefer shorter routes.

Additionally, spot market carriers are becoming more selective as the weekend approaches. These trends suggest tighter capacity and the potential for delays. Planning ahead with extended outbound tender lead times can help you navigate these challenging regions.
