Overview & Projections

Outbound volumes are falling in Dallas and Detroit, but improvements are expected. Meanwhile, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Elizabeth, New Jersey, are seeing increased spot rates.

With Georgia's shipping volumes decreasing, the Carolinas will handle more demand for the next month. Midwest produce shipping will increase in August, likely raising South Carolina rates until Georgia slows and pushing Midwest rates higher next month.

Tender rejection rates remain steady at 12%. Costs should drop in Georgia and Florida but rise in the Pacific Northwest. Capacity is also tightening in Colorado, New Mexico, and Montana.

Arizona

One of the few areas on the west side maintaining stability. Disruption isn’t materializing.

California (Northern)

Be wary of Central parts as they can tighten at any moment. Northern California can shift as well with Oregon altering.

California (Southern)

Los Angeles is another market that can flip at any moment. Outbound volumes are rising leading to spot market inconsistency.

Carolinas

With Florida and Georgia improving it will benefit the Carolinas. Area should stabilize in the near future.

Eastern United States

Western Pennsylvania is stronger than Central and Eastern parts. Limited coverage persists in New Jersey. Be wary of flooding across Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Florida (Northern)

Starting to turn the corner, especially in Florida. Georgia is revamping as well but remaining tighter in Atlanta and Savannah. Anticipate better coverage in both states.

Florida (Southern)

Produce is moving north and the area is neutralizing. Capacity will enhance week to week.

Georgia

Starting to turn the corner, especially in Florida. Georgia is revamping as well but remaining tighter in Atlanta and Savannah. Anticipate better coverage in both states.

Idaho

Washington and Oregon can make an impact on availability. May not last but can make a difference this week.

Midwest

Shipping will ramp up in a few weeks. For now, market consistency is prevalent.

New York

Buffalo and Syracuse areas are tighter than usual. Preparing for apple shipments in August.

Washington/Oregon

Oregon will be more volatile than Washington, however both states are moving. Tighter coverage than usual.

Texas

Coverage is scattered and fluctuating day to day. Better coverage early in the week and tightens statewide Thursday and Friday.
